Dry Pasta Used:
LASAGNA
Cooking Time:
45 min - 1 hour
Ingredients:
1 15-oz. container part skim ricotta cheese
2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1 egg lightly beaten
1 jar (16 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 pound ground beef, browned and drained\
1 cup water
12 lasagna noodles, uncooked
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix Ricotta cheese, 1 1/4 cups Mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, and egg until well blended. Set aside.
2. Cook meat. Drain. Add spaghetti sauce to meat in skillet. Pour water into empty spaghetti sauce jar. Swish around, and add to meat mixture. This will make about 5 cups.
3. Place 1 cup meat mixture in bottom of 9x13" baking dish.
4. Place 3 lasagna noodles, 1/3 of ricotta mixture and 1 cup of meat sauce in baking dish. Repeat layers two times more. Top with remaining 3 uncooked noodles and sauce.
5. Sprinkle with remaining 1 1/4 cups mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Cover tightly with greased foil (so it won't stick to your lasagna).
6. Bake 45 minutes, or until completely cooked through.
7. Remove from oven. Remove foil and bake 10 minutes more to toast the top layer. Remove from oven, let set 10 minutes, then cut into 12 servings.
